WRENCH system chosen by MHI consortium for its Qatar Rail project
Qatar, 28-6-2015: WRENCH system has been chosen to provide collaboration and project information management support on Qatar Rail’s Doha Metro project, which is the first metro system to be constructed in the State of Qatar and one of the world’s largest projects for a single metro system. Construction is scheduled for completion by October 2019. The project has been awarded to a five-member consortium consisting of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Mitsubishi Corporation, Hitachi, Kinki Sharyo and Thales.
“On such a large project with so many partners and stakeholders it was critical that everybody stays on the same page and that cross-team communication be absolutely reliable. WRENCH is the only system that offers this, plus complete assurance of quality, transparency and accountability across the board, as well as robust systems for project control and document management.”
said K.V. Daniel, CEO, WRENCH who oversaw the deal. “After our earlier initiative in Qatar Energy City I believe the consortium leaders saw the tremendous cost-effort saving potential our technology offers, and hence opted for an enterprise-wide as well as project-wide solution which has been proven to forestall a variety of delivery issues”.
Added implementation manager Manesh Alias “We will be starting the preliminary studies from first week of August and expect to have all systems up and running within 2 weeks’ time”
