To be a part of the team that created a robust product, delivering utmost satisfaction to customers and successfully addressed the woes of a huge customer base spread across the world, evokes me with a mixed feeling of gratefulness and happiness.
During the final engineering stages of a build, I had a moment of inspiration, questioning the necessity of maintaining separate workflow engine for defined and undefined workflows. Despite the challenges of making such a decision at a critical juncture, we decided to redesign the workflow engine to accommodate both types of workflows. The outcome was remarkably successful, eliminating the need for separate business logic for guided and unguided workflows. This shift not only streamlined our development and maintenance efforts but also provided a more flexible and efficient system overall.
