Abu Dhabi Ports adopts Wrench SmartProject as Project Collaboration Platform
March 10, 2020, Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi Ports, the developer of ports and industrial zones in Abu Dhabi, has chosen Wrench SmartProject as its collaboration platform across all its project stakeholders. Abu Dhabi Ports does expansions of existing ports, and works with multiple consultants and contractors.
The company wanted a corporate-wide system that could integrate their consultants and contractors and give them a secure and transparent shared space in which to work collaboratively. They also wanted to migrate older project data into the new system. By implementing SmartProject, they hoped to expedite work and ensure that deliverables got completed on time.
The Wrench team was able to implement SmartProject in one month remotely, despite the challenges posed by the global COVID-19 pandemic situation. SmartProject was installed on the company’s private infrastructure.
Said Philips Tharakan, VP Middle East, Wrench Solutions “SmartProject has now become a one stop shop for all Abu Dhabi Ports projects, past and present. Earlier, they were managing the work process manually through OneDrive, folders, emails etc, and it was a very labour intensive process. SmartProject has automated and digitised those work processes. We are proud of our team which pulled this off despite the pandemic challenges. ”
