ENPRO pushes digital transformation with Wrench SmartProject
Feb 11, 2020, India: ENPRO, a world leader in the design and manufacture of mechanical fluid systems and process equipment, and a provider of global engineering services, has chosen Wrench SmartProject as its engineering deliverable management system. Enpro chose SmartProject after a thorough evaluation of products in the project information management space
ENPRO had embarked on a digital transformation journey which was accelerated in the aftermath of the global COVID-19 pandemic. As part of this strategy, they have ongoing implementation of SAP as their ERP system and were looking for a project information management system that can seamlessly integrate with SAP.
ENPRO having three areas of expertise- manufacturing of mechanical fluid systems & process equipment, and engineering services needed a system to address end-to-end engineering deliverable management in order to eliminate the time delays and cost overruns. Enpro being a custom manufacturer has to get the drawings and documents of all the products strictly reviewed internally and approved by clients with minimal room for error and rework. Along with the electronic workflow, ENPRO can now monitor every aspect of their projects, including their manpower as the Wrench timesheet module has been added on to the deliverable management system to capture the time spent by the resources on the work assigned to them in the workflow.
Said Khamis Solutions specialist of Wrench, “ENPRO was reinventing themselves as a part of a leadership takeover by the second generation and they very keen to digitise the business. After the successful implementation of the deliverable management system, ENPRO plans to extend it to the other capabilities of SmartProject so that eventually SAP and Wrench SmartProject together will manage the entire project from bid to delivery, in every aspect.”
Said Varghese Daniel CEO of Wrench, “SmartProject was exactly what ENPRO was looking for because it comes with industry best practices built in, which will assure quality by default and capture and monitor the manhours spent on engineering activities without human intervention, as well as help manage procurement activities like tracking vendor deliverables and correspondences in near real-time – and all this from within the same shared, secure, integrated SmartProject system. As a company that has always believed in the transformative power of digital technology for the engineering, construction, and manufacturing sectors, we at Wrench are delighted to partner with ENPRO on their path.”
