5-8-2011: Integrated platform will provide online control over project deliverables Lanco Solar, a subsidiary of Lanco Infratech, today announced that Go-Live status for the WRENCH project control system has been achieved on the following projects:

    1×100 MW DIWAKAR SOLAR POWER PROJECT
    1×100 MW KVK ENERGY VENTURES POWER PROJECT
    3×25 MW GRID INTERACTIVE SOLAR PV POWER PROJECT, MAHAGENCO (These projects will be managed and monitored over the WRENCH platform for their entire lifecycle.)

As part of the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission (also known as the National Solar Mission which is a Government of India initiative aimed at promoting ecologically sustainable growth), the projects symbolize India’s fast-growing role as a major contributor to the global effort to meet the challenges of climate change. It is a pleasure to announce that we are going live with WRENCH on these projects, said N.S. Prasad, Senior VP – Solar Thermal, Lanco Solar Energy Pvt. Ltd. It is a major milestone for us achieved in a very short span of time. We expect it to bring better control of the engineering/project documentation and workflows, and give us an edge in terms of timely execution of EPC projects, effective utilization of manpower, monitoring of project schedules, and generation of reports on Engineering, Project and Procurement status. Speaking about the enhanced functionality now in place he said that all documents/drawings and comments along with their revisions and client comments related to the above projects would henceforth be available in WRENCH, and as each document progresses along its lifecycle, key elements like Project Status Reports and Vendor/Consultant/Status Codes would be generated from within the system. Also, procurement flow & correspondence distribution will be managed through WRENCH for tracking and archival. The collaboration will be much more efficient, he added. Vendors & Consultants shall be given access to WRENCH to upload or update documents/drawings in due course. Department heads, on a case to case basis, will approve the access for vendors/consultants.
